About

From the Swiss Alps to the San Francisco Bay Area, Moni’s life has always been guided by music.

Raised in Switzerland, she picked up the cornet at a young age and quickly found herself immersed in the rich tradition of brass bands. Wherever she lived, she became a valued member of the local music scene.

Alongside the cornet, Moni developed a deep love for the Alphorn, an iconic symbol of her heritage. She plays it whenever she can, keeping that tradition alive far from home.

Eager to be part of a dedicated and diverse community and connect with a wider musical circle, she joined both the San Francisco Brass Band and the Pacific Brass Band as well as the Symphonic Band at West Valley College.

Moni also connects with fellow Alphorn players regularly through AlphornSF.org, bringing the resonant sounds of the Alps to the Bay Area. You can often hear their music echoing through local parks and hillsides nearly every other week.

In addition to performing, Moni is studying at West Valley College, focusing on solo performance, music education, and expanding her overall musicianship.

She is committed to honoring tradition, embracing new experiences, and sharing the joy of music with others.
